The ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowship (PDF) Scheme is aimed at providing a career development opportunity for those in the immediately postdoctoral stage of their career, to provide the opportunity to consolidate their PhD through developing publications, their networks, and their research and professional skills. The ESRC has awarded funding to the NWSSDTP to support four Postdoctoral Fellowships per annum between 2024 – 2029, hosted at one of the NWSSDTP institutions.

The allocation of Postdoctoral Fellowships is a two stage process:

Firstly, candidates were asked to submit an Expression of Interest form and Equal Opportunities form to nwssdtp@liverpool.ac.uk by the 22nd March 2024:

Secondly, candidates whose EOI was shortlisted have now been invited to submit a full application by the 16th May 2024:

Full applications for fellowships commencing in October 2024 will only be accepted from candidates who were shortlisted at the EOI stage in April.
